1. Recruitment Overview
Applications are invited online through the Commission’s Website (https://psc.ap.gov.in) from eligible candidates from 06/10/2026 to 27/10/2026 up to 11:59 P.M for Recruitment to various categories of posts under Group-I Services.
Important:
The Detailed Notification with breakup of vacancies, Scale of pay, Age, Community, Educational Qualifications, and instructions will be available on the Commission’s Website on or before 06/10/2026. This date will be reckoned as the crucial date in all aspects.

3. Eligibility & Important Instructions
Educational Qualification
- For Post Codes 01 to 03, 05 to 13: Must possess a Bachelor’s Degree from any recognised University in India established or incorporated by or under a Central Act, State Act, or Provincial Act, or an institution recognized by the UGC, or an equivalent qualification.
- For Post Code 04: Must possess B.E / B.Tech in Electronics and Communication Engineering or Electronics and Telecommunication Engineering or Radio Engineering from a recognized university/institution.
- Note: For Post Codes 03 & 04, please refer to the physical requirements mentioned in the Detailed Notification.
Application Guidelines
- Applications must be submitted only through online mode. Any application sent through any other mode will not be entertained under any circumstances.
- Candidates are advised to submit their applications well in advance of the last date to avoid last-minute technical issues.
- The Screening Test (Preliminary examination) will be held in offline mode (Objective type & OMR based).
4. Examination Pattern & Syllabus
Negative Marking: As per G.O. Ms. No.235, for each wrong answer, 1/3rd of the marks prescribed for the question will be penalized.
Paper-I: General Studies (120 Marks | 120 Minutes | 120 Questions)
- A. History and Culture: Indus Valley, Vedic Age, Mauryan, Gupta, South Indian Dynasties, Delhi Sultanate, Vijayanagar, Mughal, European Trading Companies, 1857 Revolt, Social Reform Movements, Freedom Movement, Post-independence consolidation.
- B. Constitution, Polity, Social Justice & International Relations: Indian Constitution features, Preamble, FR, FD, DPSP, Union & State functions, Federal Structure, Panchayati Raj, Statutory/Regulatory bodies, Rights Issues, India's Foreign Policy.
- C. Indian and Andhra Pradesh Economy and Planning: Basic characteristics, NITI Aayog, National Income, Poverty, Agriculture, Industry, Financial Institutions, RBI, GST, AP Economy post-bifurcation, AP Reorganisation Act 2014.
- D. Geography: General, Physical, Social, and Economic Geography of the World, India, and Andhra Pradesh.
Paper-II: General Aptitude (120 Marks | 120 Minutes | 120 Questions)
- A. General Mental & Psychological Abilities: Logical Reasoning, Number Series, Coding-Decoding, Relations, Venn Diagram, Clocks, Calendar, Ratio, Proportion, Central Tendencies, Percentage, Time & Work, Geometry, Data Interpretation, Emotional & Social Intelligence.
- B(i). Science and Technologies: Nature & Scope, ICT, E-Governance, Cyber Security, Space & Defence Technology (ISRO, DRDO), Energy Requirements, Environmental Science, Climate Change, Biotechnology, Nanotechnology.
- B(ii). Current Events: Current events of Regional, National, and International importance.
Main Examination: Descriptive Type (Qualifying + Merit)
- Qualifying Papers: Telugu (150 Marks) and English (150 Marks) - SSC Standard.
- Paper-I: General Essay on contemporary themes (150 Marks).
- Paper-II: History, Culture and Geography of India and Andhra Pradesh (150 Marks).
- Paper-III: Polity, Constitution, Governance, Law and Ethics (150 Marks).
- Paper-IV: Economy and Development of India and Andhra Pradesh (150 Marks).
- Paper-V: Science, Technology and Environmental Issues (150 Marks).
- Interview: 75 Marks. Total Marks: 825.
