Extended Range Anti-Submarine Rocket (ERASR) system
Why in news: India has tested
an extended range anti-submarine rocket system
India
has successfully tested an Extended Range Anti-Submarine Rocket (ERASR) system, enhancing the Indian Navy's
anti-submarine warfare capabilities.
The
user trials were conducted from INS Kavaratti between June
23 and July 7, 2025.
The
system is entirely
indigenous, developed with the support of DRDO, the Indian Navy,
and Indian industry.
ERASR
features a twin-rocket motor
configuration to cover a wide range
spectrum with high accuracy and consistency.
A
total of 17 rockets were test-fired at various ranges.

successfully validated parameters such as:
